Coalition for Action on 1325 (CoACT) is an alliance of women organizations that work on gender equality and women empowerment. Our work focuses on full implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNCSR) 1325 on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) of 2000, and over the last two years we have added UNSCR 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), because not only do the youth (19-30) make up 24% of Uganda’s population, but to benefit from the intersectionality between the WPS and the YPS agendas. We envision a peaceful world where women realize their full potential and we exist to inspire women’s leadership, amplify their voices, and coordinate civil society action in building and sustaining peace in Uganda.
CoACT is seeking to recruit 2 Programme Officers to join her vibrant team to support the
implementation of Youth Action for Peace (YAP) and Localization of Women, Peace and Security programmes.
