Human Resource Officer – Welthungerhilfe Country Office – Kampala:
Start date: November 01, 2021
Objective of the position:
1. Support the processes on staff recruitment within the country program
2. Support the implementation and reinforcing of performance management and staff development processes within the Country program
Duties and area of responsibility:
1. Staff recruitment and selection
• Support and document the whole process of the recruitment cycle of new staff for the Welthungerhilfe Uganda Country program.
• Design and develop a set process for evaluating and selection of the right candidate.
• Where applicable evaluate job applications and provide shortlists of qualified candidates based on established criteria
2. Staff Induction, Staff Development, and Performance Management
• Organizing and managing orientation/induction, training programs/events and on-boarding for new staff, and update the induction package as necessary
• Support in the development and implementation of a staff development policy and systems that ensures that Welthungerhilfe staff have access to training and development opportunities
• Support, strengthen and monitor the implementation of the performance management processes
• Laise with Management in creating and maintaining a training budget
3. Staff Exits
• Coordinate with the Administrators and Supervisors to ensure effective use of the staff exit forms
Required qualifications, competencies, and experience
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, or Business Administration or Social work & Social Administration
• At least 5 years of professional experience working with NGOs in human resources.
• Experience in Sourcing & Recruitment of staff will be of additional advantage.
• General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
