Job Description
Location: Uro care-AMBSO office, Kampala
Reporting to: Clinical Supervisor
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Recruiting and screening of study participants.
• Counselling and management of patients on research studies.
• Performing and documenting study evaluations, medical histories, adverse effects, physical assessment and specimen collection.
• Clinical Trial medication administration and monitoring where applicable.
• Accurate data collection about study participants.
• Working with lab staff to ensure proper collection of biological specimens.
• Ensuring quality assurance as per good clinical practice and sponsor regulatory requirements.
• Interfacing with monitors and ensure that their quarries are resolved on time.
• Any other duties that will be assigned to you by management from time to time
Essential qualifications/requirements:
• The applicant should have a minimum of a Diploma in Nursing from a reputable institution.
• The candidate should have a wide range of experience in handling study clients with emphasis on confidentiality and ethical conduct.
• Has an up- to date practicing license from the Uganda nurses and Midwives council.
• Previous experience in study related data collection is desirable
• Computer literacy with at least MS word is required.
• He or she should be able to take initiative, eager to learn new things, organized, assertive, flexible, good communicator.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Experience in working with research institutions.
• Must possess computer literacy skills at least MS word required.
• Experience in data collection and entry is an added advantage.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Pays close attention to details.
• At least 1year’s experience in research in an organizational setting.
