Responsible for the running and supervising of the employee accommodation including catering management, housekeeping, facility maintenance, security operations, transportation and accommodation allocations. This role has budgetary responsibility.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

• Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties (McDermott and Subcontractors).
• Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included.
• Responsible for the full management of a large remote location construction camp including:
  • Catering
  • Accommodation allocations
  • Housekeeping
  • Security
  • Transportation
  • Facilities maintenance
• Manage and coordinate a large team of employees and subcontractor
• Manage and coordinate activities of multiple subcontractors, including 3rd party vendors and catering contractors, and ensure all paperwork is maintained accurately
• Monitor camp services, maintenance, daily menus, food quality to ensure they are in accordance with contractual requirement
• Manage, control and report on camp costs
• Manage performance of camp services team to ensure appropriate service levels in a fast paced, high stress environment
• Develop and lead a strong camp services team
• Develop and enforce policies related to camp rules and employee discipline
• Conduct regular accommodation checks, safety work-throughs and hygiene inspections.
• Ensure camp is compliant with local laws and regulations
• Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included.

Essential Qualifications And Education

• Minimum of 10-years’ customer service experience with at least 5-years being gained in a large-scale catering environment, preferably in a construction camp environment
• Must be able to manage all aspects of camp administration including accommodation, security, housing keeping, catering and transportation
• Strong budget management experience
• Experience of health, safety, and occupational hygiene requirements
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Diploma in hospitality or catering
• Basic First Aid
• Advanced food safety training
• HCCAP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) training
• Health and safety training, including accident investigation
