Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP) is a collaborative biomedical research and service delivery organization. RHSP strives to improve the quality of life of the local population through a combination of community-based research, curative services and prevention strategies in the districts of South-central Uganda.
4 Dreams Data Officers
POSITION: 4
DUTY STATION: Within Greater Masaka Region

JOB SUMMARY
To support the Monitoring and Evaluation Function of the DREAMS program in the district by overseeing data collection, entry and reporting as guided by PEPFAR. The district data officer will work with the District DREAMS officer to ensure that clean and complete DREAMS data is collected, properly captured, and reported in a timely manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee DREAMS reporting in DHIS2, HIBRID, UDOTS and OVCMIS for district.
• Monitor DREAMS progress to target by program/thematic area for the district.
• Train data entrants in entering data in the UDOTS
• Oversee case file management and documentation in the district
• Oversee data entry into the UDOTS and OVCMIS in the district
• Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, ICT, Quantitative Economics, Population Studies, Project Planning or any other related field including training in health-related courses.
• Experience with DREAMS & OVC programming is an added advantage
• Experience in health management information systems (HMIS, UDOTS, OVCMIS, HIBRID).
• Computer is STATA, SPSS, MS excel and MS access.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a rural and multi-cultural environment especially at sub county level
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Ability to ride a motorcycle and possession of a valid riding permit is a MUST.
