Expected Date of Commencement: Monday 1st November 2021, 0800 Hours
In order to score the hattrick, FUFA is desirous to automate and interconnect its own and the members’ offices throughout the country and also install a robust ICT system that will make football administration more efficient
FUFA wishes to recruit an experienced and motivated Information Communication Technology (ICT) personnel who will be responsible for the supervision, implementation, and maintenance of ICT needs at FUFA.
A successful applicant will ensure the secure and effective operation of all communications systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within FUFA.
To be successful in this position you will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices and evidence professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of communications hardware and software systems.
Responsibilities:
• Monitoring daily operations, including hardware, software, and peopleware.
• Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Overseeing and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Responsible for overseeing the replacement of hardware and software, when necessary.
• Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems for effective operate.
• Generating performance reports for operating systems.
• Assuring all ICT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
• Evaluating technology risks in order to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
• Remaining up to date with advances in football industry technology best practices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications Technology Studies, or a related field from a recognized University.
• A minimum of 3 years proven experience in managing ICT infrastructure and Services of reputable and large-size organisations.
• Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
• Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange.
• Management and leadership skills.
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible working hours.
• Knowledge of football systems and processes
• Self-supervision and Self-motivated skills
