Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative (ROM) is a Faith and Community-based organization providing holistic care to extremely vulnerable people living with HIV/AIDS. ROM holistically focuses on the body, mind, family and community wellbeing.
In partnership with World Education Initiative/Bantwana, we are implementing the USAID Integrated Child and Youth Development Activity (ICYD) in Kampala District. The Activity aims to ensure Uganda’s children and youth, especially girls and the most vulnerable, are well prepared to lead resilient, healthy, and productive lives. The activity will support interventions that lead to three outcomes:
1. Children have improved learning outcomes.
2. Children are safe and healthy in their community and learning environments.
3. Youth practice positive behaviours and make informed decisions about their lives and relationships.

Job Title: M&E Assistants (2)
Reports to: M&E Technical Officer.
Directly supervises: Data Clerks
Location: All Divisions
Job summary
The M&E Assistant will be responsible for the maintenance of ICYD Activity data systems. S/he will ensure accurate and timely entry of activity-related data, regularly prepare reports and conduct field monitoring visits ensuring data collectors understand all data collection tools and the general M&E functions.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Work with the Activity M&E Officer and OVC Project Coordinator to develop ICYD Activity M&E Plan, including indicator selection and target setting.
• Carry out data analysis and reporting ensuring data completeness, accuracy and reliability
• Maintain databases and compile weekly, monthly and Quarterly reports.
• Carry out evaluations to ensure outcomes and lessons learned are integrated into the project and shared with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure that the information and reports generated from the management information system (MIS) are utilized for program improvement and learning.
• Provide technical leadership and supervision to data entrants and oversee data management.
• Strengthen monitoring, evaluation and performance reporting within the geographic area of activity.
• Support and observe the safeguarding culture of ROM, regularly documenting and reporting identified and potential safeguarding issues.
• Ensure health, safety, and security in your area of operation, as you promote the vision, mission and the values of Reach Out Mbuya.
• Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The ideal candidates for this position should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Development studies, Business Administration.
• At least 3 years’ experience in social or operational research, research methods, development and management, with proven experience in data entry and analysis, managing M&E systems in NGO setting.
• A post-graduate training in M&E is desirable.
• S/he should have computer skills and competence in MS Word & Excel.
