Job Description
Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other
cities if required.
Primary function
• To support project Logistics operations (Traffic, Transport, Materials and Warehousing, Freight Forwarding) with development of internal projects, policy & procedures to enhance efficiency gains for Logistics department
Responsibilities
• Develop logistics forecasts on Kingfisher engineering project.
• Support logistics manager in reviewing and developing policies, procedures and other documents on project logistics management.
• Analyze existing logistical infrastructure and provide recommendations for optimization based on operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Analyze operational requirements and develop concept of support plan and management tools to enable and assess implementation.
• Develop scope, evaluate, and establish emergency contingency plans to support Logistics operations.
• Support Logistics team with coordination & monitoring of financial budget activities & projects.
• identify changes and recommend solutions to improve processes and information integrity.
• Follow up logistics activities of EPG contractor at various locations.
• Be responsible for internal document control (keep reports, meeting minutes, and documentation on file) for the PMT logistics team.
• Other duties assigned by logistics manager.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics, Material Management, Planning, Petroleum Engineering, Drilling or related.
• At least 10 years working experience in oil & gas industry
• Minimum 5 years proven experience in materials team supervision with Operator background.
• Supply chain background, Comprehensive SCM experience with all disciplines required. Logistics experience in EPC Company.
Knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of logistics intensive knowledge of EMMS required
• Skillfully use MS office software and SAP system
• Knowledge & Exposure in Oil & Gas Operations
• Experience in managing multiple projects in a high-pressure work environment
