East African Packaging Solutions Limited is part of the Madhvani Group of Companies situated at the new Nile Bridge Njeru Municipality and the leading Manufacturer of corrugated carton boxes. Applications are invited from suitable Ugandan candidates to fill the following vacancy in the company:
Job Title: Compliance Officer (01post):

The duty roles shall include: –
• Provide safety operating instruction(s) for the use of devices/equipment.
• Foresee the cleanliness and hygiene within the plant and its environment all the time.
• Coordinate all the Environmental related issues like EIA and Environmental Audits in consultation with lead Agencies like NEMA, Ministry of water and environment, Ministry of Gender Labour & Social Development.
• Represent Management on issues /activities related to the Quality Management System/Standards (ISO45001 2018,ISO 90001 2015 & ISO 22000 2018).
• Ensure provision of appropriate PPEs and enforce use of the same by the employees and visitors.
• Promote awareness on matters of Environment, Safety and Health to the employees and other stakeholders.
• Identify hazards/risks in the workplace and put in place mitigation methods.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and to determine how they might be prevented in the future.
• Conduct training and toolbox talks on a variety of EHS matters.
• Any other assignment as deemed fit.

Qualification:
Applicants should be holding a degree in Environmental science from a recognized university
Experience: An ideal candidate should have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar working field of an Industrial Setting.
