Job Description
Job Title: Manager Agent Banking (1)
Reports to: Head of Distribution Channels
ROLE PURPOSE
To Identify, negotiate, build and manage Master Agent partnerships and their distribution Agent Outlets
KEY RESULT AREAS/ DELIVERABLES:
• Coordinate recruitment, training, administration and management of existing and future Bank Agents across the country.
• Track, record and Report activities carried out on a Daily, weekly and Monthly basis and provide guidance on specific actions to improve .
• Plan and implement a routine Master Agent visitation tool kit for the field Teams to ensure close contact with the Master Agents.
• Meet specified weekly and monthly target of number of Master agents to recruit to the network by conducting the activities of field teams.
• Responsible for managing the quality of the Master Agent network across the country. This involves capitalization and recapitalization drive.
• Drive Agent visibility by ensuring that recruited Master Agents are branded in line with the Bank’s branding guidelines.
• Develop a good networking relationship with the Master Agents to ensure that the top line numbers are achieved.
• Coordinate with the Manager, Agent Operations to ensure timely support to the Bank Agents
• Responsible for liquidity management across the Agent network.
• Organize training and retraining events for incoming and existing agents.
• Evaluate performance, delegate responsibility and authority. Follow up to ensure proper performance of the Agent network.
• Forecast long and short-range market potential in the various parts of the country.
• Prepare activity reports.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
• A Business degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, management, or any relevant field.
• Possession of a Certified banking qualification or master’s degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Business Acumen
• Team Leadership (supervision)
• Critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Banking, telecom or similar environment of which 2 must be in a supervisory role.
• Must have an in-depth understanding of agent banking operational processes, product features, pricing, benefits, positioning, design and promotions.
• The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form in a professional manner is deemed essential.
• Ability to build functioning working relationships across organizational, corporate, and cultural boundaries.
• Ability to demonstrate positive image and role model PBU’s values and leadership behaviors.
• Must be a person of impeccable integrity
