A small newly set up vehicle garage is looking for a dynamic person to fill the position of vehicle mechanic.
Location: 223 Kyanja Kisaasi Road, Kampala, Uganda
Type: Contract

Required:
• Must at least a Certificate or Diploma in Motor vehicle technology
• Must be able to perform standard vehicle repairs on their own, tasks such as changing brake pads, carrying out service, and replacing car batteries.
• Must have knowledge or keen interest in learning vehicle auto electrical systems and repair.
• Basic knowledge of Computer diagnostics is required.
• Must be able to work well with their hands and have a passion for the technical work automobiles.
• Must be willing to learn through formal training sessions as well as hands-on work tasks supervised by senior auto mechanics.
• Must be ready to follow company systems for recording labor time, implementing repair procedures, and more.
• Must be willing to perform custodial tasks like workshop cleaning to keep workshop areas clean and presentable. Also, keep inventory areas clean and well-organized.
• Customer service – Whenever needed, must be able to speak politely with customers to learn the nature of their vehicle problems and explain repair processes.
• Physical ability – candidates seeking this job must be physically able to complete tasks that involve work laying down and lifting heavy pieces of vehicle machinery.
• Mechanical skills – must understand mechanics and engines to complete daily duties and learn how to successfully repair all types of vehicle problems.
• Communication –Ability to listen and absorb information and the ability to relate information clearly to others.
• Analytical abilities –Ability to isolate vehicle problems.
• A driver’s license is an added advantage.
