Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation (MMHF) is a Ugandan National Non-governmental Organization that has impacted lives over the last 16 years through community based health interventions in Mid-West, South West and Western Uganda. MMHF seeks to fill the position of M&E Assistant to support implementation of activities under the “Supporting the Uganda Malaria Reduction and Elimination Strategic Plan” project, funded through TASO (U), the Principal Recipient of the Global Fund New Funding Mechanism (NFM3) for the period 2021 – 2023 in the following 10 districts of Kasese, Rubirizi, Bushenyi, Sheema, Kitagwenda, Kamwenge, Kazo, Kiruhura, Lyantonde and Lwengo.

Job Summary:
Support monitoring of project activities based on project implementation plan

Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the M&E Officer and Program manager to develop M&E Plans.
• Maintenance of activity data, ensuring accurate and timely entry of activity-related data
• Ensure availability of all relevant data tools for district based field teams
• Regularly prepare reports, weekly, monthly and quarterly
• Conduct field monitoring visits to ensure quality project implementation
• Support district teams to ensure data collectors understand all data collection tools and the general M&E functions.
• Assist in maintaining a clear and transparent filing system and maintain databases
• Ensure that the information and reports generated from the management information system (MIS) are utilized for program improvement and learning.
• Provide timely inputs for new initiatives and improvements on M&E issues to the management team.
• Participate in the evaluation of the project’s results and achievements
• Prepare weekly/monthly schedule of monitoring and evaluation related activities.

Required Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, Monitoring and evaluation, Economics, Social Sciences, Development studies, Business Administration. Additional training Public health, any other related, d disciplines is an advantage
• At least 3 yrs of experience working with projects in a related field
• Thorough familiarity with MOH health information systems (HMIS) at community and health facility level and knowledge on DHIS2
• Good computer skills with basic data analysis competence
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, willingness to travel with in the supported districts
• Flexible to work for longer time, including weekends when required
