Vice President-Technical Support
Location: Kampala, Albert Lake production installation base or other cities in Uganda if required.
Primary function:
• To ensure the smooth interface between the G&R project team, and Drilling Activities, provide support for the technical advice and constructive input on all Geology and Reservoir related aspects.
• Ensure deep study and analysis of the subsurface specific topics, such as EOR, 3-D seismic processing, sedimentary analysis
• To supervise and guide QHSE activities to ensure the QHSE system establishment and activities under QHSE system.

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to field development and drilling divisions related all aspects of geology and reservoir, Act as an interface between subsurface, drilling, engineering and production divisions.
• Organize the optimization study of Kingfisher and LA2S fields’ development plan.
• To supervise and guide QHSE activities to ensure the QHSE system establishment and activities under QHSE system.
• Evaluate, recommend and advise on various technical issues related to subsurface operations to ensure that the utilization of subsurface operation facilities / equipment is operationally and economically optimized and in conformity with company standards.
• Oversees the reservoir studies and ensures that the data acquired is accurate and well kept in a database.
• Supervise and oversee all the QHSE related activities, act as the role of Chief Safety Officer to ensure all the QHSE activities comply with Uganda and Company requirements
• Ensure the QHSE system establishment and all the activities are under QHSE system.
• Provide knowledge and technology transfer to the technical related teams from time to time.

Coordinate with Tilenga for the technical support
issues to ensure the top technology regarding oil and | gas industry can be introduced to Uganda
• Ensure the implementation of approved function’s policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company standards.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Geology, petroleum engineering or related field. At least 15-year related working experience including 8-year experience in Oil & Gas industry. – Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects
Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of oil and gas production and project management.
• Extensive knowledge of the drilling and completion Interface
• Knowledge of petroleum engineering technology.
• Understanding of oil engineering, reservoir, drilling and completion, production, etc.
