JOB TITLE: Assistant Accountant (01)
Reports to: Finance Manager

QUALIFICATION:
Holder of Bachelors in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, BCOM or any other related majoring in accounting.
Must have experience of 2-3 years in Accounts from a recognized institution

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To Post/record final accounts in respective books of accounts:-journal books, ledger books for revenue incomes and expenditures, cash books, petty cash controls in liaison with petty cashier and other relevant accounting books or records.
• To participate in the Planning process for the institution especially in Budgeting and forecasting.
• To do preparation, analysis and interpretation of management accounts at an appropriate time.
• To carry out Stock controls i.e. minimum and maximum levels and their safe custody.

• To prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for higher authorities or management regularly and timely.
• To ensure that there is value for money in purchases of any kind i.e. stock (drugs, medicines etc.) organizational assets such as motor vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure safe custody of organizational assets i.e. Assets management by opening up and maintaining an assets’ register and ensure engraving and coding of assets is done.
• To ensure staff salaries are regularly and timely paid and all statutory deductions made.
• To be a technical advisor to immediate supervisors (Medical Superintendent and Administrator] on financial matters.
• Report as necessary any issues that you may find hindering your work to your immediate supervisors.
• To carry out any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.
