Job Description


The Business Intelligence Analyst will be mainly responsible for discovering insights from massive amounts of structured and unstructured data to help shape or meet specific business needs and goals. But also monitor company performance and business environment while interpreting data concerning customers, channels, competition and the macro-environment into relevant, accurate and usable strategic knowledge.

Main Job Functions:

  • Drive development of predictive & Propensity models leverage existing information assets for optimal Marketing activity
  • Collects, analyzes, and monitors data concerning customers, channels, competition and the macro-environment translating it into relevant, accurate and usable strategic knowledge in order to have a good understanding of the market, to anticipate its evolution and act on it, to have a good understanding of competitions’ positioning and to anticipate threats or to exploit opportunities
  • Establishes customers’ profiles, segments and usage in order to predict customer behavior Identifies and monitors external and internal factors that may affect business performance and market growth
  • Performs Product Evaluation: Involves development of business cases for new initiatives and products/services; effective and efficient product performance monitoring and reporting for MTN Uganda.
  • Prepares Pricing for products and services ensuring economic feasibility and profitability Prepares financial analysis and modelling for promotions and price reductions to aid decision making
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using complex datasets from different sources.
  • Implementing best practices to ensure dashboard design consistency for the best user experience.
  • Carry out all regular and ad hoc data analytics activities to enable business to obtain better insights
  • Carry out insightful analytics around customer segment movements, product lifecycle, usage and revenue, etc
Qualifications

 

Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Knowledge in PowerBI

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in data analysis and financial modeling in the marketing environment
  • Previous experience in Telecommunications industry
