Job Summary

Responsible for finding trends in data sets and developing algorithms to solve key business challenges through value extraction from data

Job Description

Accountability:  Data model development (70%)

  • Organize and analyse raw data
  • Data mangling as part of pre-processing
  • Carry out exploratory data analysis to determine valuable trends within the data
  • Ingest data from different sources to increase power of application
  • Build algorithms to solve key problems or exploit opportunities including but not limited to:
    • Fraud detection
    • Marketing personalisation
    • Credit decisioning
    • Customer churn
    • Product recommendations
    • Customer experience
    • Customer interaction
  • Develop applications to consume algorithms built

Accountability:  Relationship building (20%)

  • Working with IT personnel to extract and or create data sets
  • Working with different stakeholders to understand data needs and craft solutions

Accountability:  Training (10%)

  • Upskilling organizational resources in data approaches

Education

Bachelor’s Degree: Information Technology
