Job Title: Head of strategy Development Fundraising and knowledge Management

Core Roles and Responsibilities
• Development and implementation of high quality country strategic plan and Annual Strategic Plan (ASP) relevant to the local context and organizational priorities
• Strategic and quality country program development, planning and management with adherence to the Country Strategic Plan and established monitoring system.
• Guide the planning, quality implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the program activities through support supervision and conforming to the monitoring guidelines
• Support BRAC Uganda to develop and implement strategic partnerships and relationships with like-minded organizations and consortiums.
• Lead and oversee the fundraising initiatives and proposal writing and development process, concept note writing, grants acquisition and management to ensure long term financial viability and sustainability of the Country grants’ portfolio and achievement of annual targets
• Gathering intelligence and information for new funding opportunities through donor websites and donor engagement meetings. Review the opportunities through the established Standard Operating Procedures to ensure alignment with the program priorities organizational policies and country capacity
• To strengthen knowledge management, communication and visibility, especially through the development of a knowledge management strategy with clear communication pathways and aligned to Brac International communication protocols.
• Support the development of a brand and reputation of BRAC Uganda among the key stakeholders and donors.
• Ensure that the regional offices are functional and standardized to effectively support the fundraising function and Country Operations with clear SOPs, strategic location, logistics and with an effective management support function.
• Prepare and submit standard monthly, quarterly and annual reports and other supporting documents to the Country Director
• Initiating and establishing new partnerships and consortium with different organizations and agencies. Maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and uphold the implementation of the vision, mission, values and policies of BRAC Uganda, including an effective safeguarding and gender mainstreaming policy.
• Other duties that will be assigned by the Country Director.

Safeguarding roles
• Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Required skills and qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration Developmental Studies/Project Planning/Social Sciencel related field, 7+ years’ experience in fundraising and proposal writing in a renowned organization, preferably in the NGO setting, Proposal writing Partnership establishment and maintenance, Mastery of donor requirement and budgeting, Knowledge of the full grant management cycle, people management skills, Coordination, interpersonal, networking, collaboration and negotiation skills, Strong attention to detail, strategic thinking, problem solving skills, and ability to analyze trends, Computer literacy, Google Suite, word, excel, Outlook, internet explorer, financial systems), adaptability, innovation, analytical and communication skills (written and spoken), ability to work under pressure and minimum supervision, Report writing, presentation and facilitation skills
