Project Director – Engineering Project Team
Location: Kampala, Albert Lake production installation base or other cities in Uganda if required.

Primary function:
• To be responsible for leading teams in the Engineering project Team.
Manage resources, schedules, and financials and adhere to control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle.
• Manage issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly support the achievement of strategic objectives.
Advise on the execution of engineering contract of the project and management of related investment and budget.
• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
• Supervise the execution of engineering of oil development and refinery construction coordinate Investigate alterations and adjustments of the engineering contract.
Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, extemal vendor relationships.
• Organize and verify the project budget report and budget adjustment report, submit commentary report. Verify monthly fundraising report of the contractor.
• Organize and establish project engineering database, collect and sort basic information of exploration and development of the oil and gas fields.
Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team manager and other stakeholders.
• Review and verify submitted budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Verify management risk analysis from the contractors.
• Other assignments from the superior.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Petroleum Engineering or related
• At least 20-year related working experience including 10-year experience in Oil&Gas industry.
• EPC experience is required.

Knowledge:
• Good command of petroleum engineering, knowledge of oil reservoir, drilling, completion and production.
• Good command of construction procedures of the project and familiar with internal management procedures.
Familiar with management consciousness and awareness of all kinds of knowledge necessary.
