Job Description


Pathfinder International is implementing a five-year Family Planning Activity (FPA) by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). As a lead implementing agency, Pathfinder with partners will play a catalytic role in increasing access to modern contraception and reducing the unmet need for voluntary family planning services in Uganda.
Intermediate Result Areas:
The FPA’s three Intermediate Result areas (IR) are: Uganda leadership and coordination strengthened to support FPA; Positive social norms and behaviors enhanced to improve healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies; and access to quality FP increased! will be implemented in 1l districts with three cluster offices in Masindi covering Kiryandongo, Bulissa and Kyankwanzi; Fortportal Cluster covering Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo, Kibale, Ntoroko, and Bundibugyo; Masaka Cluster covering Gomba and Rakai districts with head office in Kampala overseeing all but covering Butambala. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual for the following position:

Job title: Human Resources Manager (1) Based in: Kampala
Key accountabilities:

The Human Resources Manager advises and implements the full range of HR strategies necessary to enhance the organization’s performance through its people.
• The position works closely with SMT and the HR team in the United States to provide support and guidance on systems and procedures in the HR function, anticipating, planning for and resolving diverse challenges within program parameters while providing leadership on HR issues.

Minimum Requirements:
• The applicant must hold a Degree in Business Administration or HRM and professional qualification in Human Resource Management.
• At least eight years of experience in Human Resources.
Experience working with USAID funded programs, Knowledge of Ugandan labor laws, Demonstrable people management skills, Attention to detail and ability to prioritize, Well-developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations,
• Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels,
• Ability to work independently as well as be part of a team, Proficient in the use of computers especially Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet
