Job Title: Manager Enterprise Solution Design
Reporting to: Senior Manager Enterprise Support
Division – Technology

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
To design, install and commission MTN Uganda’s enterprise solutions in line with industry standards and best practice in support of the Wholesale, Consumer and Enterprise Business markets.

Main Job Functions:
• Delivery of fiber solutions to Enterprise Business, Consumer and Wholesale Customers within the shortest possible time
• Timely delivery of fiber infrastructure and the Optical Data Network to support MTN Uganda’s yearly targets
Budget inputs for supporting Enterprise Business, Consumer and Wholesale infrastructure in consideration of the exponential growth within the industry
• Work with subcontractors to ensure quality delivery of services to the Enterprise Business, Consumer and Wholesale Customers
• Quality of service monitoring for all Customers in conjunction with Managed Services Provider
• Project Management support and performance monitoring of all contractors
Procurement process for all materials and related services
• Manage inventory for equipment and customer accessories.
• Manage Documentation for all projects and customers including poles, manholes, etc

Education:
• BSc Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering

Experience:
• At least 7 years’ experience in fibre design, implementation and maintenance works
• At least 4 years’ experience working with Right of Way process is an added advantage
Experience working on GPON and DWDM technologies is a must
• Experience in IP planning for customers and sites is an added advantage
Other Training:
• Fibre optics design and implementation training (Google Earth, Microsoft Visio, )
• GPON and DWDM equipment and maintenance training.
• FTTx Survey and technical design skills
• Project and contractor management skills
• Map reading and surveying skills

• Communication/reporting skills (verbal and written)
