Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Veterinary Medicine; or Fisheries; or any other related field plus a Master’s Degree in either Veterinary Medicine; or Fisheries studies; or any other related field from a recognized University / Institution.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Director Gender, Community Services and Production for performing the following duties:-
• Developing, Monitoring the implementing of Animal production, and fisheries programs in line with gender, labor and community development mandate
Initiating the development of policies and procedures for guiding animal production and fishing activities in the Authority as per the Directorate guidelines
• – Planning and developing a system for identifying markets for the produce in the Authority as per the KCCA mandate
• Developing, Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of Agriculture and Agribusiness programs in line with the directorate
Developing, designing and evaluating the effectiveness of programs for raising awareness and empowerment of People in the Authority.
• Developing and monitoring the implementation of Poverty Eradication / Alleviation Programs including income generating projects / gainful employment opportunities, and diversification and marketing of the agriculture and fisheries.
• Managing the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
