Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervise the project plans and schedules and ensure the construction teams’ daily and weekly activities meet production goals related to steel works.
• Co-ordination of resources – plant, people, materials, equipment to facilities a safe work culture and is accountable or the safety of the construction team and must understand the legal liability of the role; ensuring the construction team apply the standards for safe working conditions and are fit for work each day.
Ensures that the completed work meets standards and recommends work processes that will improve productivity and product quality.
• Accountable for preparation of reports as required by the employer and management liaison and client interface.
• To be part of the structures management team responsible for the management team responsible for the management delivery of inspection and self-delivery program of work.
• To have responsibility for resourcing the routine inspection program, including the recruitment and supervision of internal and/ or subcontracted staff as required.
To manage the structures work program by planning, prioritizing, estimating and procuring services to enable the necessary works to ensure the structures stock remains safe and fit for purpose, including the management of subcontractors.
• To Produce and/ or check method statements and risk assessments, undertake site audits and ensure safety first in all activities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Higher national diploma in mechanical engineering or trainings/certificates in a related field with 10 years’ experience working on international construction projects will be considered in lieu of the Degree.
• 10 years of proven work experience in using welding equipment, reading engineering plans and drawings, blueprints to determine and assemble structures.
Experience working with Mota Engil on international construction projects will be an added advantage.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical and hydraulic systems in building and construction, knowledge of working with concrete and operating with specialized power tools and machinery.
