Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide engineering expertise for the Earthworks and Excavation portion of the overall project.
• Act as an alternate in the absence of the Resident Engineer.
Direct and provide guidance to Engineers and Supervisory Staff on the performance of their work.
• Ensure all work done follows divisional standards and procedures and is consistent with Corporate Policies.
• Provide direction to design consultant for changes required by field conditions and internal & external stakeholder requests.
• Administer the contract for scope, schedule, risk assessment and quality requirements.
Respond to Request for Information (RFI) and issue Work Instruction (WI) as required by the Resident Engineer.
• Review and approve GCC Work Plans and Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPS).
• Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
Prepare estimates, schedules as required by the Resident Engineer.
• Assist in developing and maintaining or improving project management systems.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering and in a related field or certificate/training in a related filed with 10 years’ experience working on international construction projects will be considered in lieu of the degree.
• 10 years of work experience in preparing physical and financial schedules using the PRIMAVERA program.
• Membership to a professional engineering body.
• 5 years in similar position for pipeline projects
• Must possess international projects construction experience.
Staff management experience (knowledge transfer).
• Excellent communications skills.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
