Job Description


Duties Brief
1. Responsible for collecting and creating content for the IDRC social media platforms and website.
2. Coordinate and collaborate with project & department heads to get correct, accurate and timely information.
3. Evaluate information received as well as stakeholder opinions while creating content.
4. Participate in creation and production of organization newsletters, brochures and other materials as required.
5. Support with requests for facilitation of airtime, data, perdiems, fuel, etc.
6. Update and manage social media platforms ensuring relevant content at all times.
7. Minute taking, sharing minutes, calling for meetings and sharing meeting reminders.
8. Maintain digital media archives like photos & videos
9. Support events with branding requirements, media engagements and publicity i.e., photography and branding material set up.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification Required
1. A bachelor’s degree in communication or journalism (Second-class upper or First Classdegree).
2. Practical experience using desktop publishing tools (InDesign/Photoshop or Canva).
3. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
4. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
5. Microsoft Office and social media platforms expertise.
