Job Description


Responsible for overseeing the implementation of Quality Control and Food Safety operations of the company and ensuring compliance as per the established Quality/Food Safety Standards

Key Responsibilities
• To ensure proper implementation of the company’s quality and food safety policies across all the operations.
• To implement the company’s Quality Control and monitoring plan by ensuring timely sampling, inspections and accurate analysis of incoming raw material, in-process goods, and packaging material for effective quality control.
• To ensure 3rd party sampling is done as per established SOPs and samples dispatched on time for analysis.
• To ensure process quality controls are implemented and Critical Control Points (CCPs) are monitored, records maintained appropriately as per company procedures
• Participate in decision making regarding incoming raw materials and Finished batches based on the established quality and food safety standards.
• Compile analytical reports and certificates for raw material and finished goods to management so that informed decisions can be taken.
• To review quality control data and trends for QMS and product quality improvement.
• Participate in product quality review and certification
• Responsible for monitoring and supervision of the Quality control Supervisors/assistants and their activities.
• Ensure that the QC Procedures and policies are documented, implemented, and reviewed from time to time for improvement.
• Ensure that all measurement equipment and instruments at all IPQC stations are well maintained and calibrated so as to give accurate results at all times.
• Train staff on quality related matters while promoting quality policies and objectives
• Address customer complaints relating to quality by carrying out investigations to establish root causes and recommend corrective actions to avoid re-occurrence.
• Ensure that current good manufacturing practices are being followed so as to produce goods which conform to specifications.
• To participate in internal and external Quality Systems audit activities of the site.

Education and Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Science Technology (Chemistry, Biology), Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Food science and Technology, Food and Agribusiness

Work Experience
• Minimum 4 Years of experience in Agricultural produce or Food and Beverage processing and Quality Control.
• Hands on Quality Control experience in Cereals, Pulses, oil seeds is highly preferred.
