To provide specialist advice & support in the development & implementation of IT security service delivery processes, methods and techniques enabling secure management & control of IT access, in alignment with governance requirements.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities
• Take the Lead to establish and implement a comprehensive IT and Cyber Security Framework for Absa Uganda.
• Ensure localization, implementation and enforcement of the Absa Group wide Security Policies, Standards and Procedures.
• Lead investigations into cyber security breaches. Provide a coordinated response to complex cyber attacks that threaten assets, intellectual property, and computer systems.
• Ensure regular cyber security awareness and training is provided to all Absa Staff, to enable establishment of a cyber security culture in the organization
• Liaise with the Absa Group Central Security Office to Operate security monitoring and incident response toolsets with a focus on continuous improvement
• Research and recommend solutions for incident response and digital forensics
• Conduct periodic assessments including vulnerability scans and penetration tests to determine security violations and inefficiencies and ensure fixes, controls or mitigations are established to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure the right defenses are in place to protect all company data especially the sensitive information from both internal and external threats.
• Ensure reliable monitoring and identification of unusual activities, for instance unauthorized access on all systems including servers, applications, firewalls and databases.
• Collaborate with other Cybersecurity team members to develop and implement proactive and defensive systems including protection from malware, ransomware, and other possible cyber-attacks.
• Document and ensure approval and maintenance of security guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assess and conduct risk analysis on current security measures to determine gaps and recommend solutions to address or mitigate the risks
• Ensure antivirus systems, firewalls, data centers and software updates are configured and implemented as planned

Education
• Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (Required)
