HIS Coordinator is responsible to plan, lead and oversee the implementation of Health Information Systems at HFs including system set-up, maintenance and promote use of data collected in all project supported databases. S/He will review program analytics and develop dashboards & automated reports to facilitate reporting and data use for planning.

Overall Responsibilities
• Rollout and maintain functional HIS systems including Tiered Uganda EMR, Health Information Exchange platforms and Project specific databases in line with MOH HIS guidelines.
• Create and maintain interactive visualization platforms and digital tools to facilitate data extraction, analysis, reporting and data use among project staff and district health teams
• Develop and monitor implementation of HIS guidelines/SOPs for data and equipment security in all supported health facilities.
• Facilitate staff development (through training, mentoring and coaching) of district and program staff in HIS systems, database management, report generation and dissemination to enhance data use for decision-making.
• Supervise the implementation HIS systems for surveillance programs including mortality, case-based and recency surveillance.
• Produce monthly and quarterly Health Information System Reports.
• Work with IT team to set-up HIS systems and local area networks including maintenance of IT hardware at supported health facilities, districts and CSOs.
• Participate actively in planning, monitoring and reporting for the project.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
• A Master’s degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics, Statistics or related degree.
• At least 3 years’ experience and strong understanding of MOH and PEPFAR Health Information systems (DHIS2, PIRS, UGANDA EMR, KP Tracker, UDOT, DATIM)
