Job Title: Senior Legal Officer
Reports to: Head of Legal & Company Secretary

Purpose Of The Role
• Supports the Head of Legal and Legal Manager in coordinating and monitoring the legal strategy activities for the bank to mitigate legal risks and enable the business to achieve its revenue and growth objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelors of Laws degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
• Current valid Advocate’s practicing certificate -A minimum of 3 years’ experience in active legal practice with exposure in both a reputable law firm and as in-house counsel in a financial institution reputable institution.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the Financial Institutions legal regime, and a practical approach to handling litigationmatters.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Self-driven with a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrates strong analytical skills and ability to conduct comprehensive legal research on a range of issues, including those of unique and complex nature.
