As the Cooperative Business Development Officer, you will lead the process of strengthening the existing enterprise producer group/cooperatives and forming new ones that will establish legally viable sustainable businesses that serve the interest of their members. He/she will also identify and engage in agro-related income generating opportunities that will improve the financial sustainability of MADFA.
You are accountable to the coordinator

Your key duties will be;
• To plan, coordinate and ensure achievement of performance targets for all enterprise cooperative generating activities. You will actively facilitate the formation, capacity
• building, and profitable functioning of cooperative enterprises, business and value chains and MADFA income generating activities.
• You will facitate the development, implementation of business plans and strengthening of business operations for all cooperatives and MADFA income generating activities.
• You will provide technical advice in all business areas to cooperatives, small farmer group associations SFGAS and MADFA, and guide the community business groups in formulating fundable business plans.
• Co-create secondary income generating units for MADFA.

The position requires the following;
• A minimum professional qualification of a bachelors degree in any business discipline with at least a two(2) years experience of working with cooperatives at their formation and management levels. Have a direct experience in agro-related business management(farm input supply, farm produce trade, contract farming).
• Must be computer literate, with good, effective communication skills.
• Have excellent interpersonal,motivative, confidence and influencing skils.
