Your Responsibilities
Grainpulse Ltd., a subsidiary of K+S and based in Kampala (Uganda), is looking for a Head of Finance (m/f/d) as of 2024. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Managing the company’s financial matters and, perspectively, managing the financial matters of the K+S subsidiaries in Eastern Africa
• Being in regular contact and communication with the German headquarters, all relevant K+S stakeholders and K+S subsidiaries
• Leading financial planning and analysis (FP&A) including forecasting, budgeting and cash flow management
• Managing a finance department and all related processes
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Advising on projects and strategic partnerships
• Developing strategies to increase return rates and profitability
• Overseeing and reviewing accounting tasks, including payroll, taxes and compliance
• Managing all relevant external stakeholder relationships such as banks, auditors and local authorities

Requirements

Your Profile
The ideal candidate will have the following profile:
• Enthusiasm for African cultures and openness to a unique environment
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related major is required
• Master of Business Administration or a Master’s degree in Finance is a plus
• Working experience in a senior finance function
• Flexibility and willingness to travel
• Fluent English (orally and in written form) is required
• Proven experience in FP&A software and advanced spreadsheet skills
• Extensive knowledge in financial reporting and strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
