Position function
The role holder will be in charge of supporting various business units with management information reporting and analysis to improve decision making and business performance.

Key responsibilities
• Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for business needs and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables.
• Deliver accurate reporting on sales and portfolio performance of different products and segments.
• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models, clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
• Contribute to the enhancements of existing reports by use of dashboards so as to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.
• Analyze data for trends and patterns and interpret data with a clear objective in mind.
• Analyze business requirements from various user departments and utilize various sources of data to providing meaningful insight to business to support continuous process improvement.
• Support the strategy team by identifying and integrating new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities and work closely with IT team to strategize and execute the development of data products
• Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed by business
• Ensure full compliance with all corporate standards, policies, processes and procedures.
• Provide training and support to various users on MIS reports.
• Financial Responsibility: Monitoring the Departmental Budget
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Skills, knowledge and experience
• Must be a holder of a minimum, a first degree from a recognized university preferably in Statistics, Applied Mathematics,
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• A postgraduate qualification in Data Science is an added advantage. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analytics.
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and programming languages (i.e. Java/Python, SAS)
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to consult with a wide range of people at different levels.
• Dynamic, research-oriented group with several ongoing concurrent projects. Positive and flexible attitude towards change.
• Ability to exercise the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
