Job Description


The Instrumentation Supervisor will be responsible for installation, calibration and maintenance services at the field.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all instrumentation discipline works are carried out in line with the HSE policies and that all personnel under direction are aware of the policies.
• Ensure HSE audits are carried out in accordance with specified requirements.
• Review of warehouse instrumentation stock levels highlighting shortages, ordering and following up of orders.
• On completion of works ensure all relevant documentation, inspection certificates, etc are updated for integration with previous documentation.
• Overseeing Instrumentation discipline works performed with reference to Quality Assurance and Control including conformity to Detailed Engineering design and specifications.
• Overseeing installation, testing and calibration of newly deployed systems and equipment. To assist/take the lead for tests, procedure development, and check conformity during pre- commissioning works execution.
• Act as primary Supervisor on site:
• Witness and participate in Vendor site activities as required
• Ensure that planning, coordination, execution and follow-up of all installation / pre-commissioning / commissioning activities are done in strict compliance with the Detailed Design/specifications.
• Anticipate problems by checking in due time planning aspects related to all interfaces issues during Instrumentation installation/pre-commissioning and commissioning works
• Undertake regular site visits to assess the work quality and delivery of the Contractor and intervene as appropriate to ensure that activities progress in line with the project schedule.
• Liaise with Other disciplines as it might be required to improve the effectiveness of the Team and to achieve project objectives and targets
• Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress
• Monitor workforce productivity/progress relative to schedule
• Ensure the protection of the environment and the monitoring of Project environmental performances.
• Participate in daily/weekly/monthly meetings as required
• Compile necessary reports (daily/weekly/monthly) related to his/her discipline and scope as required

Qualification and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering
• With 10-12 years of related experience in instrumentation as applied to upstream oil field facilities, preferably in a remote desert environment.
• Experience in working with a multi-disciplined, multinational team of professional oil field staff
• Good knowledge of codes and standards related to the Instrumentation discipline.
• Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
