Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit dynamic and competent individuals to fill 2 vacancies for the position of Teaching and Learning Officer in the project offices in Arua.

The person is responsible for providing the necessary technical support in the area of improving the quality of Learning in Secondary Education as well as contribute to quality continuous professional development for teachers (training, coaching and mentoring) and learning, in addition contribute to design of a conducive learning environment, support supervision, inspection and the capacity building for school management;

Tasks and Responsibilities
• You conduct participatory analyses in each district on current practices of multi-actor planning, implementation and monitoring
• You create of the methodology and training schedules, based on the assessment results conducted for local authorities and school Managers
• You contribute to the preparation of the We Teach annual and quarterly operational plans
• You support the improvement of teacher competences to boost retention rates and ensure that students transition from senior 4 are better prepared for the world of work

Required Qualifications and Experience
• A Master’s degree in Education Management, Education Sciences or any other related subject area especially in Teaching.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in program design and implementation of curriculum and materials development in the Education sector;
• At least 5 years of proven experience in active teaching and learning methods, mentoring and capacity building of teachers, teacher educators, staff and partners;
• Experienced in approaches and tools for facilitating multi- stake holders’ processes, participatory approaches
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative M&E methods.
• Experience with activities of integration and project work that support the lower secondary school curriculum
