Job Title: Management Trainee – Security Analyst
Directorate Information Security
Department Threat Intelligence
Reporting to Security Analyst
Salary Grade N7

Job Purpose
To support in planning and implementation of security measures based on analyzed threat intelligence to protect computer systems, networks and data for GoU Agencies

Key Accountabilities
• Support in Planning and implementation of security measures based on approved threat intelligence
• Draft cyber intelligence reports communicating technical issues to a broad audience including information security staff, non-technical business representatives and senior management

Provide support during cyber intelligence training through expert understanding of tactics, techniques, and procedures of cyber threat actors
• Support cross-team initiatives to help implement cybersecurity improvements in MDAs and Critical Information operators
• Conduct research on emerging security threats
• Perform daily review of cyber threat warnings, bulletins ad threat intelligence sharing communities
• Perform any other duties that may assigned from time to time

Position Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information Security or a related field from a recognized university is required

Any training in cybersecurity or threat intelligence is an added advantage

Experience
• At least 1 year of working experience in any ICT-related role.
