Job Description: Mechanical Engineer
Position: Mechanical Engineer
Reports To: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Coors Engineering Services Limited, Uganda
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support various engineering
projects. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing and improving
mechanical systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety. Proficiency in CAD and design
along with experience managing projects or leading teams, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for manufacturing
• equipment.
• Utilize CAD software to create accurate designs and technical drawings.
• Conduct analysis and testing to ensure that mechanical systems meet industry
• standards and performance expectations.
• Develop and create detailed design models and technical drawings for mechanical
• systems and components
• Perform feasibility calculations and engineering analysis to evaluate design concepts,
• ensuring systems meet performance, safety and cost-effectiveness requirements.
• Oversee the implementation of engineering standards and best practices, ensuring all
• designs and installations comply with industry regulations and company quality
• standards.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance and optimization of mechanical systems.
• Manage engineering projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and overseeing
• project timelines and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and junior engineers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD and mechanical design software.
• Strong project management and team leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Technical problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and efficiency.
