Job Description


Sanlam Investments East Africa Ltd (SIEAL) is a leading fund manager in the region and has a strong record of accomplishment in service delivery and performance. SIEAL is seeking an analytical and confident Investments Assistant to enhance its Investments Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the investment team and committee in developing strategy and execution of the strategy, carrying out investment research on various asset classes and preparing presentations to clients and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities

·         Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
·         Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing investments.
·         Develop financial models to support investment decisions.
·         Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations for stakeholders.
·         Stay updated on macroeconomic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes in the African                             markets.
·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment strategies.
·         Adhere to Company policies including internal and external risk, compliance and regulatory standards.
·         Any other responsibilities as documented in your annual performance objectives and as may be assigned and              communicated from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications
·         A business-related University degree
·         1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the fund management industry
·         Post graduate qualifications in Investment Management such as CFA.
·         Familiarity with financial databases and software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
