Job Summary
SR Afro Chicks & Breeders Ltd, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Executive to drive the sales and distribution of our organic fertilizer products throughout Uganda. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the agricultural sector, and have a proven track record of achieving sales targets
Position Responsibilities:
a) Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets;
- Identify and target key customer segments, including smallholder farmers, commercial farms, and agricultural cooperatives.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the organic fertilizer market.
- Manage and maintain a sales pipeline, accurately forecasting sales and providing regular reports to management.
b) Market Development & Promotion:
Promote the benefits of organic fertilizer through various marketing and promotional activities.
- Represent the company at agricultural trade shows, exhibitions, and other industry events.
- Gather and analyze market feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and development.
c) Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agricultural cooperatives, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers on the proper use and benefits of organic fertilizer.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize and conduct field days, workshops, and demonstrations to educate farmers on fertilizer application.
d) Distribution & Logistics:
- Coordinate with logistics chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability at distribution points.
e) Reporting and Administration:
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, market analysis, and customer feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the agricultural sector, with a focus on fertilizers or related products.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of organic farming practices and the benefits of organic fertilizers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid Ugandan driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the country.
- Knowledge of local languages is a strong advantage
