Job Description
Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL) is seeking a dedicated Project Social Worker to deliver case management and livelihood support for pregnant adolescent girls and youth. The Social Worker will provide psychosocial care, coordinate referrals, profile and manage cases, and facilitate access to sustainable livelihood opportunities aligned with climate resilience.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough case assessments and create individualized care plans for adolescent girls.
- Deliver psychosocial support and coordinate referrals to health, legal, and protection services.
- Identify livelihood opportunities and connect beneficiaries with vocational training and income-generating activities.
- Facilitate life skills sessions and mentorship focused on climate-resilient livelihoods.
- Collaborate with community networks to promote safe pregnancies and youth empowerment.
- Document case progress, success stories, and lessons learned to support reporting and program improvement.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation of case management and livelihood activities.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Psychology, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in case management and youth livelihoods, preferably within NGOs.
- Solid understanding of adolescent development, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and climate change impacts on vulnerable groups.
- Strong facilitation, counseling, and documentation skills.
- Experience with community-based approaches and established referral systems.

- Experience working in climate-affected or resource-limited settings.
- Ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with adolescents and their caregivers.
