Job Description


To support the operational and business aspects of Custodial & Investor Services Business to meet the needs of domestic, regional, and global clients.

Short-term employment services

Key responsibilities

  1. Supporting Custodial and Investor Services Business Growth.
  2. Manage Custodial & Investor Services platforms including Igor, INNOVA Software, Central Securities Depository (CSD) and the ATS platform.
  3. Ensure accurate execution of Corporate Actions including but not limited to Dividends, Coupons, Rights Issue, Proxies, Redemptions, Announcements etc.
  4. Foster Investor Services request execution to drive income.
  5. Support timely & accurate execution of Custodial & Investor Services Instructions on a day to day basis to ensure no failed trades at all times.
  6. Reconcile client’s holdings with all depositories, submit respective investment reports from time to time & report all exceptions if any to your supervisor for a timely resolution.
  7. Accurately & timely bill Custody Clients, maintain an accurate debtors Register, accurately collect Custody fees & trading income, share the same with Manager Custodial & Investor Services on a monthly basis.
  8. Support deposit mobilization initiatives through close relationships with key stakeholders like Fintechs, Fund Managers among others.
  9. Submit accurate tax data to Finance monthly & obtain related Tax certificates for all Deposit investments performed monthly.
  10. Timely & accurately complete all trade & clean cash settlements on a daily basis.
  11. Ensure timely processing of all fees including URBRA, USE, Brokerage & fees due to Sub custodians.
  12. Minimize escalations and interest claims and respond to queries as per SLA’s.
  13. Timely prepare client Board reports and submit them to your Line Manager.
  14. Ensure accurate account opening at BP and SCA Level in INNOVA, ATS, PDSG, NSE and IGOR at all times.
  15. Offer support in preparation of processes, procedures and product trainings.
  16. Promotion of risk awareness culture, and best practices to reduce operating losses, frauds and forgeries to mitigate risks arising from none settlements, errors of omission and market penalties.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Investments, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, International Business, and Economics related field from a recognized Academic Institution
  • A post graduate qualification in finance, Investments, Banking or any related field is an added advantage

Additional Requirements/Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Custodial Services, Fund Administration or Investments environment.
  • Operating knowledge of Investment and Capital Markets instruments Solid financial skills;
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to the values.
  • Good communication and inter personal skills.
  • Good report preparation skills and ability to pay attention to details
  • Logical thinker – has a clear, focused and methodical approach to tasks given under required frequency e.g. daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.
  • Results-orientated, driven to realize business service objectives and able to execute at speed.
