Job Description
To assist the Senior Lecturer and Lecturers in conducting well researched and prepared lectures to undergraduate students.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- To prepare lectures and conducting lectures to undergraduate students.
Ugandan job market
- To set tests, examinations and coursework according to University standards.
- To mark tests and examinations scripts and compile results according to grading standards of the University.
- To administer and invigilate tests, examinations and coursework according to University standards.
- To supervise students undertaking research in line with the University’s guidelines and regulations.
- To mentor junior staff in academic growth and research in line with the University policy.
- To carry out administrative duties that may be assigned by the Head of Department from time-to-time.
KEY OUTPUTS
- Lectures to undergraduate students prepared and conducted.
- Tests, examinations and coursework set according to University standards.
- Tests and examinations scripts marked and results compile according to grading standards of the University.
- Tests, examinations and coursework administered and invigilated according to University standards.
- Students undertaking research supervised in line with the University’s guidelines and regulations.
- Junior staff in academic growth and research mentored in line with the University policy.
- Administrative duties that may be assigned by the Head of Department carried out from time-to-time.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- a) Should have a Masters’ degree in the relevant discipline of French Language from a recognized awarding university/institution.
- b) Should have a First class or upper Second-class Honors Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline of French Language from a recognized awarding University.
- c) Should have a high level of academic potential to pursue higher degrees.
- d) Age limit: Not above the age of 40 years at the time of application
