JOB DETAILS:

A Global Healthcare Public Foundation (AGHPF) is a Ugandan Registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with offices in Kampala, Uganda. The Foundation has been in operations for over 18 years carrying out most of its work in Sub Saharan Africa. The Foundation is seeking to recruit a full time professional to fill the position below;
Title: Communications Officer

Job summary:

The Communications Officer will be responsible for the organisation’s communication both internally and externally. Reporting: The Communications Officer will report to the Deputy Director Business Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing all communication to interested parties.
• Managing all Media platforms and engagements.
• Responsible for all documentaries of the Foundation’s work to include videography and photography
• Responsible for all Foundation publications from creation to print.

• Excellent communication skills; communicates sensitively, effectively and creatively on relevant issues.
• Demonstrated writing experience.
• Proficiency in design and publishing software.
• Experience in website and social media management
• Demonstrated writing experience.

• Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive attitude

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or a related field is required.
• At least 3 years’ experience in communication related field
• Previous experience working on USG funded projects is added advantage.
• At least 2 years’ experience in providing administrative support to executives and/ or senior management teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Education: Bachelor’s Degree in journalism
