A-Z Nurture Africa’s Social Enterprise, is looking for a manager in Nansana – www.nurtureafrica.ie The manager is responsible for; leading, managing, training, recruiting, marketing, overseeing the quality of food prepared and served, developing menus, greeting and serving restaurant and salon guests. Supporting and encouraging the youth in social business enterprise, for the smooth running of Nurture Africa social enterprises for youths.
Job description
We are looking for a person who is experienced, passionate and enjoys working with others and helping our students grow into responsible and hardworking people to join our team at Urban Village Nansana.
Duties and Responsibilities ;
• Manage and oversee the entire operation of all the Urban Villages
• Deliver superior guest services and ensure customer satisfaction
• Plan and develop guest loyalty programs
• Plan and develop guest loyalty programs
• Plan new and update existing menus and salon products
• Plan and develop the overall business marketing strategy
• Participate at local food events
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
• Organize and supervise staff working in shifts, manage and lead staff to grow more into the business
• Train and appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
• Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and inventory management Control costs, minimize waste and manage restaurant and salon supplies
• Monitor daily operations and initiate corrective action and Nurture a positive working environment
• Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity and sales
Job Requirements and Qualifications
• Degree in Business administration (preferred but not compulsory)
• 3 years of experience as a manager in food industry or similar business role
• 3 years of experience customer service management
• Extensive knowledge in food and beverages
• Computer literacy in basic computer applications
• Familiarity with restaurant and salon management
• Experience in event planning and management
• Strong leadership, motivational and people management skills
• Good financial management skills
• Critical thinking, problem-solving skills and team player
