Job Summary:

The Senior Graphics Designer will be directly responsible for the overall design and illustrative/graphic /visuals to meet specific commercial or promotional needs. Works collaboratively

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, analyze and create visual ideas with a view to solving communication problems within specified timelines
• Maintain a system that tracks work output with a view to delivering work within specified timelines
• Produce communication materials as required
• Seek necessary approvals for all work produced and keep signed approvals of the same
• May handle copyright, reprint, and permission processes
• Oversees and trains graphic assistants/interns
• Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a University degree in Fine Arts preferred or an equivalent of education plus experience.
• Five or more years of graphic arts and publications experience
• Excellent project management skills.
• Strong working knowledge of printing, publishing and/or graphics art procedures and related computer software.
• May require experience managing to a budget and the ability to work with a variety of projects and vendors. May request portfolio of past work.
