Job title: Purchase and Store assistant.
Reports to: General Manager-Factory. .

Job purpose:
• Effective management of store operation in receiving, inspection, storage, issuance and transfer of items as per company policy.
• Ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials, by properly organising the items in the store, keeping it clean and in good order.
• Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
• Initiate purchase requisitions for the replacement of stock of all regular store’s items whenever the stock level of any item approaches the minimum limit.
• Initiate action for stoppage of further purchasing when the stock level approaches the maximum limit.
• Receive and Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to supervisor for reimbursements and record keeping.
• Issue materials only in required quantities against authorized requisition notes)‘ material lists.
• Check the book balances, with the actual physical stock at frequent intervals by way of internal control over any discrepancy and make appropriate reports.

Education: Degree or Diploma in procurement and store management, Mechanical engineering.

Experience: 4-5 years ‘experience in stores management.
