It provides both preventive and curative services including out-patient care, in-patient care, diagnostic radiological and laboratory services, minor surgeries, specialist nursing services, sports medicine and physiotherapy, optometry, ENT, dental, non-communicable diseases care, HIV care and pharmacy services. Job Purpose To provide and maintain curative and preventive health care services in accordance with National Health Service standards.

Duties and responsibilities
• Diagnosing, treating and managing patients; • Promoting public health practices in the University Community;
• Participate in continuous professional development;
• Participating in research activities and health data collection;
• Participating in continued professional development;
• Refer patients for specialized care;
• Offer guidance and counselling services to patients;
• Supervise and appraise staff;
• Supervise the training of medical interns;
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
