Job Description
Minimum Qualification Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institution plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. Working Experience Applicants should have three (3) years working experience in the field of Legal Practice and Systems served at Legal Officer Level in Government or from a reputable organization. Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Legal Officer for performing the following duties:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Legal Officer for performing the following duties:
- – Being responsible for one of the Judicial Service Commission Regions;
- – Conducting Court Inspections;
- – Conducting investigations of complaints against Judicial Officers and other staff in Judiciary;
- – Prosecuting disciplinary cases before the Disciplinary Committee;
- – Carrying out research on law and administration of justice;
- – Carrying out field survey on law and administration of justice;
- – Carrying out research on terms and conditions of service of Judicial Officers and administration of justice;
- – Writing reports and preparing legal opinion and memorandum;
- – Supervising Legal Officers;
- – Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
