Job Description


The Law Development Centre (LDC) invites applications from qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts in the staff establishment at the Kampala, Mbarara and Lira campuses .

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To undertake the day-to-day operations of the Study Centre library.
Duties And Responsibilities
• To issue to and receive books from library users.
• To register new paid up library users.
• To provide reference and research services to students and staff.
• To access and process newly acquired reading materials.
• To shelve and file reading materials.
• To regularly conduct stock-taking.
• Any other duties assigned by the Assistant Librarian

Key Competences
• High degree of proficiency with computer technology and Microsoft office.
• Ability to work independently requiring minimal supervision.
• Effective verbal, written presentation, listening and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal (team player) skills.
• Must be a person of high integrity

Qualifications And Experience:
• A diploma in Library and Information Science from a recognized Institution.
• Computer skills.
• 2 years’ experience in related work
