Job Description
POST: PROBATIONER POLICE CONSTABLE
VACANCIES: 5000 POSITIONS
SALARY SCALE: UGANDA
GOVERNMENT SCALE-U7
AGE LIMIT: 18-25 YEARS
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandan citizens to join the Uganda Police Force. .
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess a maximum academic qualification of UCE Certificate (O’ Level) or its equivalent with at least 4 credits, including English and at least a Pass in Mathematics.
• Those who possess qualifications above UCE should NOT apply.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National ID.
• Must have no criminal record.
• Should be ready to undertake the requisite twelve (12) months Police basic Training.
• Must be physically fit.
• Ready to work for long hours and at times under difficult conditions.
• Should be ready to work in any part of the country.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Must not be a former or serving officer in any of the Forces.
Method of Application
Hand written applications addressed to the IGP accompanied by certified copies of academic documents, photocopy of the National ID, ID of the previous schools attended, three (3) recent passport size photographs and recommendation letters from LCI, LCII, LCIII and RDC (from the respective districts of recruitment) in file folder which should be delivered to the Police District/ Divisional Headquarters not later than 19th September 2020. Only shortlisted candidates shall be invited for interviews on dates to be communicated. NOTE: Impersonation and presentation of any forged testimonials or any other forged documents shall lead to arrest and prosecution in courts of law.
