Reports to: Board of Directors .
Purpose of the Job
• Helps the Institution accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
• Coordinate, monitor and facilitate compliance with existing laws, rules and regulations.
• Advise the Board of Directors and management on the adequacy of the systems, risk management and IT controls.
• Responsible for developing a risk-based internal audit plan and managing the internal audit function in accordance with Vision Fund Uganda internal audit mandate.
• Maintain the professional standards for internal auditing as guided by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
• Issues an Audit opinion each year on the adequacy and effectiveness of Vision Fund control environment and which is used as a key source in drafting the annual governance report.
