Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an International independent medical humanitarian Organization that delivers aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from health care. MSF offers assistance to people based on need irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
MSF is looking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position below ;
Job Title : KAC Manager
Duty station : Kasese
Opening date : 28th October 2020
Closing date : 10th November 2020
Contract Starting date : December 2020 .

Main responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Work closely with the Medical Team Leader to improve access to health care including Reproductive Health (RH) services for the adolescent populations of Kasese and surrounding districts with the implementation of medical activities in Kasese Township.
• Participate in the definition, planning, implementation and monitoring of in accordance with MSF protocols.
• Participate in the definition, planning, implementation and monitoring of the Kasese projects medical activities in accordance with MSF protocols, specifically for the Kasese adolescents medical/clinical activities
• Coordinate human and material resources required in order to ensure good quality of care to MSF patients.

• Define, organize, implement and follow-up on all care and activities in the project including recreational activities.
• Ensure the daily management of Human and Material Resources as well as the implementation of the MSF protocols, the MOHs’ ANC, PNC guidelines, in order to assure efficiency, quality and continuity of prescribed care.
• Ensure patient have access to diagnosis and treatment of STIs, including HIV and HPV vaccination of adolescent girls
• Ensure the team in the project are supported in the reorientation/redirection of the project activity especially the adolescent service center in order to adopt MoH modules
• Ensure the good linking and coordinated relationship between Kasese Municipal health center III (MOH) and KAC remain smooth.
• Laisse with stakeholder and adolescents care takers in implementing adolescent service to share good practice.
• Engage the care takers in the best service delivery for adolescent making sure the adolescents who need referral to another level of care are respected.
• Ensure implementation of Reproductive Health (RH) Services provided in the KAC clinic according to MSF standard and protocols in KAC.
• Supervise and ensure good quality of the RH provided to the patients in the clinic
• Ensure comprehensive care is provided for all Adolescent receiving services in the clinic.
• Coordinate activities in Recreation center in close interaction with adolescent Peers and Mentor Mothers with the help of Cultural educators.
• Promote Occupational Therapy, Psychosocial Support Counselling linked to Sexual reproductive health (SRH)
• Ensure Medical confidentiality is respected and patients are sufficiently informed and consent about their condition and the services they are receiving.
• Work closely with the MTL to improve Linkage of community to KAC to increase attendance of SV within 72 hours.
• Ensure proper implementation and follow up of referral system when needed, the implementation of patient records and filling system according to the MSF and MoH guidelines.
• Improved access to information, retention in care for Adolescents with chronic diseases.
• Ensure adolescents have access to SRH information/counselling concerning contraceptives, early pregnancy, HIV, Post abortion care, STIs, Sexual relationship/ Intercourse.

Competencies
• Computer literacy (word, excel and internet) is essential.
• Should possess strategic vision in relation to activity implementation.
• Demonstrated management capacities.
• Proven communication and team working skills.
• Planning and implementation capacities
• Good team motivation skills.

Requirements
Education
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing/Midwifery
Experience
• Previous experience as a Midwife Manager or Nurse/Midwife with MSF in different contexts a definite advantage.
• Previous experience in project implementation /set up desirable.
• Previous experience in Sexual Violence is desirable.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar, relevant position in other NGO’s Languages
• Written and verbal competencies in English essential
